Our story

The Friday People is an Australian owned and operated brand headquartered in sunny Sydney.

I started the business in 2019 after a long search for a bag that was both functional and beautiful. One bag that could do it all and carry it all. The Friday People was born at my kitchen table while juggling family life and a corporate job.

The Friday People is all about Friday vibes. That Friday afternoon feeling when you’re sliding into the weekend, hanging out with family or friends or just relaxing and planning your weekend adventures. We’re all about getting out and about with simplicity and style - and keeping up the Friday vibes.

Whether you need the perfect bag for a weekend getaway, a day at your favourite beach or an elevated mum bag, our functional and versatile bags have been thoughtfully designed for getting out and about with simplicity and style. The ultimate tote for women on the go, they're big enough to tote everything you need, water resistant and lightweight. 

We’ve worked hard to get the balance of quality and price right while also ensuring that our bags are manufactured ethically and sustainably. Our totes are made with high quality zips and durable fabrics spun from recycled PET bottles.
